Bozeman is the county seat of Gallatin County and a city is Montana, United States. With a population of about 27,509 at 2000 census, the city is the 5th largest city in the state.

Bozeman is named after the founder of Bozeman Trail "John M. Bozeman". Situated in the fastest-growing county in the state, the city was elected an All-American City by National Civil League in 2001. Bozeman residents are called Bozemanites.
